I have 26 posts and 2 Karma...I don't see my "Applause" and "Smite".

You're not going to see your OWN applause and smite buttons. You can't applaud or smite yourself. But you'll see it under everyone elses name in a post. Feel free to dish it out yourself (but only once every 4 hours).  ;)
