but Charlie's turning out better than even i had hoped...

Chester needs a new collar...

Chester probably eats more bananas than blueberries... i think he's sick of 'em

Charlie still can't get enough...
he was eating them off the bush again yesterday!
the few remaining, low-hanging clusters...

but i know for certain that their coats aren't shiny from any particular shampoo
cuz i haven't bathed them in forever
LOL

maybe it's the seaweed in the pond...

or genetics...

the contrast is great on the freshly tilled soil...
but good luck finding these guys in ANY grass at any time of the year...

to all of those that feel the dark reds aren't a "proper" color because it does not camouflage as well as light wheatens:

They are stunning!!!! Genetics can be a marvelous thing, can't it.

But I think it also has a lot to do with how well they are loved and cared for.

What do you brush on their coats ? brown shoe polish! just joking!
They have some great looking coats!

You mentioned bananas! Basha love them too!

Like cigar I will allways give her the first part and the last one! but now she get the middle pats too.
Sometimes i am so amazed how many different vegetables & fruits she can eat!

Beau eats bananas, too. I am also amazed at all the fruits and veggies he will eat. Does anyone know if tomato is bad for them? Those seem to be his favorites

Tomatoes aren't bad for them, Pemba loves cherry tomatoes.... I think because she likes the seeds squirting in her mouth when she bites into them, like prey.

Frozen carrots are good treats too, especially when they're teething.

For a long time, people would say they could always tell when a dog had Kwetu behind it because they loved tomatoes. Some dogs will actually go out and pick the tomatoes off the vines and eat them.

Be careful with tomato plants and dogs. The tomatoes are fine, but the some lists say that the leaves are dangerous to pets.

My dogs would do absolutely anything to get a tomato or a cucumber!!! If I peel a cucumber, all three of them line up and sit down neatly in hopes that MAYBE I'll let them have a piece! I always joke that they might bait better to a cucumber than to any dog treat.

Titus has done that before. We had Cherry Tomatoes and you could always tell what he had done by the yellow pollen covering his black mask.
There was never a broken or missing limb from the plant though. I cant imagine that the foliage is good tasting at all (it smells awful, but my dog has eaten alot of awful smelling things).

I know onions are off limits and someone told me grapes as well. But Beau loves cucumbers, tomatoes and bananas the best. He'll try anything and if it disappears, you know he likes it. If little pieces come out of his mouth, well, maybe he likes it.

Every 2 weeks or so we have Kitchen Aid Machine set up in our kitchen and start to crank up fresh veggies for Basha.
We will mix about 10-12 different vegetables and mix them all up , than I put them in small plastic containers and they go in Basha's freezer ( basha has her own freezer in the garage with all her good stuff )
Every morning and dinner time she will get half bowl of frozen veggies mix with dry food and at night veggies mix with row food.
She love it! her favor ones are Tomatoes ( cherry ones) cucumbers & carrots.

Oy he is a handsome boy and I love his colour. I don't know how I didn't see this thread before but the photos are great and they both look stunning. I want to come live where you live. I agree, with such great subjects you need a camera, not just want one, you neeeeeed one (that is the line I give Bruce when I want something hehe)
