One thing I am very thankful for is that neither of my dogs will bowl us over. Titus (the red one) was coming for me and Lucius was trying to catch Titus.

There is very little scarier then seeing a muscle bound frieght train running full speed in your direction if you're not sure they'll swerve. I've been nailed by a friends ridgeback and my knee hurt for months after that.

They are such big clutzes when they are growing.  Leonidas used to trip over his feet and tumble fairly often, I was never lucky enough to get it on film though!

And I know what you mean Kelly, twice he has rammed me hard....Not sure if it was on purpose or he misjudged...Luckily I wasn't injured, but it sure hurt...

They look like a freight train coming at you...

I suspected that was you they were coming for!  ;) Brando loves to chase me and He has never barreled in to me, thankfully not yet  :D I suppose I should knock on wood for that. Zola like Lucius is usualy chasing Brando ~ When I took Brando to coursing practice for a little fun, all he wanted to do was chase me.....no bunnies for him, but he had a blast  ;) I should have started him earlier on those bunnies  ;D

Titus has his JC right kelley? I thought I remembered a post of you guys giving it a whirl....

Yup, he sure does! We went two days and he got his JC in those two days. It was a total blast.

Truth be told I think there is nothing more beautiful then watching our dogs run full tilt. Its humbling in a way. We own creatures of immense power that are more than happy to raid our counters and live beside us without eating our young. ;)

I am a very lucky person!

 ;)

I love to watch them Run too! it is something that you have to see to appreciate the full intensity of their abilities....but there are SO many ways that my dogs impress me as well. I feel pretty blessed to have been fortunate enough to have the two of them love me like they do ~

Now catching those shots - that was VERY lucky! It did look like the "here I come MAMA" run that shows how MUCH he loves ya~
Brando runs full tilt for 2 things, to get to me or get away from Zola LOL not so much for the bunnies though....maybe to catch the evil squirrels too  8) He did run full tilt to catch me on the field and I am SOAR  ;D good thing I had my running shoes on!

I hope little Zola Bud likes the bunnies - we hope to check it out on Mothers day with her or at some time this summer. She was unable to run this last weekend in season. There is always next time!!  :D Will Lucius get to check it out soon too?

Lucius wont be a year old until Late August so nope, not any time soon! We'll see if he chases the bunnies or not.  Im kinda worried he wont. We will see in time.

I walk around that field as they're ripping around it and every once in a while I'll yell "Dogs, Come!" and thats the aftermath of it.

The other thing I love is to see their ability to jump over large ravines. When we've taken Titus into the woods its absolutely amazing how easily he clears an 8 foot gap. He just *boings* and he's over. We probably shouldnt risk that with our very ungraceful Lucius at present. :) he's getting far too heavy to carry back!

Yeah, that has got to be getting to be a heavy load!! I guess I forgot that Lucius is still a young thing  ;)

I have some older pics of Brando clearing logs and a creek. They are in my back up hard drive so I can not post them right now...but it is awesome to see how much distance they can take as well as how damned high they can jump. I loved the jumping shots of Titus that you have put up in his threads too. The squirrel trees are in the back yard and there is a french door off the back of the house and Brando Jumps all the way over the top of the frame - I will have to get some updated pics of it next time he starts up with it.

I am kind of trying to discourage it, cuz I am a little tired of cleaning the windows every day ~ as well as there is a slate floor in that room and I get worried that he may not ALWAYS land on his feet. Over protective mom syndrome ~ but I have my spray bottle on my desk so I can curtail his squirrel drive!!

I think Zola may be more inclined to course, but then again; she is MUCH better angulated and I think she would be very effective if she was so inclined to leave me  :) we will see, but she enjoys a good run!

Funny shots.......we were all laughing!  It is amazing that our dogs can take a tumble and keep going like nothing happened.
