introducing Busara
« on: May 08, 2008, 03:26 PM »
Dear all,
Please forgive me if I make a mess of this; it's my first time uploading pictures and I hope I'm doing it correct.

Well, indeed I made somewhat of a mess, but using Enter instead of something else ... I wanted to put on some other pictures too.
So, after a picture of Busara (or Busa, as we call her) at four weeks, here some more of her growth process up to now:

with her friend Mop:

at work, when two months:

at three months:

and in the loving presence of my boyfriend Nathaniel:

She is an absolutely lovely dog and we are so happy to have her !

Sorry about not being a bit more specific about her !
As said, her name is Busara (of Rhodesian Island to be more precise) and she lives with me and my American boyfriend in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
She is both our first dog and first Ridgeback and we feel very lucky with her. She is almost four and a half months old now and we just passed our Obedience class exam with her.
Hope to be able to post a lot of pictures of her here and hope you will enjoy her as much as I enjoy looking at the wonderful pictures of all your dogs on this forum.

She is so cute!  I love that there are so many puppies right now!  It will be so fun to watch them all grow up.

Keep the pics coming, and congrats on your graduation!

Definitely looks like a little girl.  Looks like she is happily spoiled!

Never get sick of pictures. :)

She's a cute baby! I must commend you on choosing the right breed from the very beginning - most of others here first owned other breeds, until they learned what the right breed really was :D You seem to be well ahead of us!

Beautiful!  I love the last shot that shows her whole body.  She looks very cuddly, exactly what my girl is not!   ::)

We were a little worried with having a Ridgeback as a first dog, as we read so much advice against it. But a friend of mine used to have a Ridgeback and I liked it so much that I couldn't think of any other dog when we decided to get one. So far we feel we have been very lucky with her, she is sweet and does pretty well in obedience, I hope she'll be a good girl when she's fully grown too. As for cuddly ..... she LOVES it (and, so do we !)

I chose right the first time, too.  Consistency is what they need and the fact that never let them THINK they are smarter than you.  if you do?  it's all over.

She is adorable!!  Please keep the pics coming.

She is just adorable.  I love a snuggly puppy.  My boy is very lovable like that.  He loves to just snuggle up on the couch or bed with me.  I think thats the best.  Looking forward to seeing her grow.
