Help! First Trip to the beach with my Lucy this summer.

I am planning on taking Lucy to the beach for our summer vacation this year.  I've never had a dog before Lucy let alone a ridgeback.  She should be about 7 months old by that time and I was wondering if there was anything that I needed to do in order to make sure that she is having a fun and more importantly a safe time at the beach.  I guess I most concerned about any heat issues as well as too much sun?

I think she will be just fime and have a blast.  But do make sure she has shade if she wants it, and plenty of fresh water.  Access to the water when it is hot will be good, if you can get her in it!  Some RR's love the water, like my Meile, most hate it to some degree!  Keep an eye on her feet to make sure the sand isn't making them sore, especially if it is very hot.  What temps are you expecting?  If it will be very hot, you may want to think about some shoes for her feet.  Relax and have fun!
