I have two cats, and one of them had a couple of accidents in his lifetime, on my bedroom rug. Nature's miracle did no good.
I went over the spot on the rug, with something I found online called
SCOIE 10x. When used as directed, it was said to destroy smells and stains using enzymes.
I used the SCOIE 10x, plus I used vinegar, water, blotting and reblotting, and then 7th Generation dishwashing liquid, water, blotting and reblotting. Well, I did a LOT of work on the rug, the rug pad, and the floor beneath.
I smell nothing now. Even with my face right in the rug and under.
Also, my cat doesn't use the spot he peed in, so since his sense of smell is better, I'm guessing he can't smell it either. I may invest in a blacklight to be sure before I get a dog.
Now, having said ALL that, are there other really good solutions people have used that truly worked? For all I know, what works with the cats will not work with an RR, even if cat pee is said to be much stronger than any dog's pee.
